At 05:30hrs Rescue Co. 23 along with units from Christiana were alerted to Interstate 95 NB / Stanton Christiana Rd for a MVC. Rescue Squad 23 made the response with a crew of 4 under the command of FF/EMT N. DiVesta. Command 12 "Captain B. Hopkins" AOS reporting 2 vehicle head on MVC with one trapped. The upgrade brought New Castle County Paramedic 7D to the scene. RS23 arrived on scene and went into service with RE3-6's crew with a driver's side wall & roof removal along with a dash lift to extricate the trapped driver. 2 patients were transported to the hospital for further treatment. RS23 operated for 45mins before returning to quarters.
