Station 23, 14, 30, and 17, were alerted to a residential fire in the area of Newport Gap Pike & Burnside Blvd. 23-8 went on scene reporting smoke showing. Upon Engine 23-2’s arrival the crew connected to a hydrant and placed a 1 ¾ hand line in service the crew found a small fire in the kitchen. Due to a quick knock down the damage was kept to a minimum. Scene was placed under control @ 18:15
