Engine and Rescue Run 16 House Fire

On Thursday 07/20/2017, just before 0500hrs, Station 23 was alerted to assist Station 16 (Elsmere) on a residential fire for reported fire in the bathroom.  Rescue and Engine 23 quickly responded.  Ambulance 16 arrived and reported smoke showing from the attic of a two story single family dwelling.  Rescue and Engine 23 arrived just after the first Engine.  Engine 23 secured E16's supply line and stretched a back up line to the second floor to assist with suppression. Rescue 23 operated as the first due special service performing a primary search and opening up for the engine companies.  Crews found fire in the bathroom and attic and quickly extinguished the same.  Station 23 units operated for just over an hour before being released by command.  Ambulance 23 also provided a BLS standby at the scene.
