Busy Wednesday for Minquas Members

On Wednesday, October 24, students from the George Read Middle School visited Station 23 for a fire prevention presentation. The visit lasted for approximately 1.5 hours and shortly after the students departed Squad 23 was out the door for a reported commercial fire in Hockessin. This was the first of ten runs the members handled before 9PM, including the following:

1209- Commercial Fire (19)- Squad 23 was returned while enroute
1230- Medical Assist (23)
1343- Commercial Fire (21)- Rescue 23 operated as the second due special, no fire was found
1355- Multi-Residential Fire (9)- Rescue and Squad 23 were returned while enroute
1405- Commercial Gas Leak (19)- Rescue and Squad 23 arrived and staged, units investigated 
1827- MVC (12)- 1 minor injury
1836- Multi-Residential Fire (11)- Squad 23 arrived as the fourth due engine for a working apartment fire
1901- Cover Assignment (11)- Sqaud 23 covered Station 11 for approximately 30 minutes
1920- Commercial Fire Alarm (21)- Engine 23 was returned while enroute
2048- Residential Fire (12)- Rescue and Squad 23 were returned upon arrival
2115- Medical (23)
