Members Keep Busy With Public Outreach and Training
Tuesday, January 8, 2019

On Tuesday, January 8, the daytime volunteer crew was kept busy handling a number of events, and some calls in between:

Starting at 1100 hours, the Squad crew assisted at the funeral for Carole Ann Buckingham, daughter of Life Member Robert Buckingham.

Following the services, the crew made their way to the Forest Brook Glen neighborhood, to hand out smoke detectors in partnership with the State of Delaware. These detectors are free of charge to any resident in our coverage area, and can be obtained at Station 23.

After handing out 50+ detectors, the crew made the trip to Banning Park to drill on hose line advancement. Upon returning to quarters the Squad was washed and members have continued to train.

The Company also handled three runs on the day; a medical assist, a box alarm, and rollover crash on the interstate.
