Friday, May 29, 2015

On the above date just before 2300hrs Station 23 was alerted to assist Station 28 on a reported apartment building fire.  Rescue Engine 23 with a crew of 6 under the command of Captain Mills responded in less than a minute.  NCC Fireboard advised the responding units that the caller was stating the first floor apartment was on fire.  Rescue Engine 23 arrived seconds after the first arriving engine and took the First Due Special Service responsibilities.  The crew made entry into the fire apartment located a kitchen fire, performed primary searches, and ventilated.  Rescue Engine 23 operated for a little over an hour before being released by command.  Great work by all companies on the scene.
